BAU Institute Edition 2009 is a portfolio of 25 archival pigment prints created by BAU Institute Fellows and guest artists. It is printed with archival inks on 11x17” Hahnemuhle cotton rag paper. This inaugural collection honors the artist Michael Goldberg (1924-2007), a dear friend and important member of the New York School of painting, who lived and worked in Italy for many years. Master Printer Katy Martin is editioning and printing the portfolios.

Alejandro Diaz
Se Habla Español

Based in New York City, Alejandro Diaz is originally from South Texas. Most recently, he was a recipient of the prestigious Louis Comfort Tiffany Foundation Award (2007) and was selected to participate in a major group exhibition at LACMA which travels to Mexico City and New York in 2010. Diaz currently has a solo project at the acclaimed Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum, CT and has lectured on his work at the Whitney Museum of American Art and the Drawing Center, NY. His work has been reviewed in publications such as The New Yorker, The New York Times and Frieze.
